12th Klonopin Update

August 7, 2026··
taper update
Weekly Averages Insomnia Score: 4.0/10 Neuropsychiatric Symptoms: 8.1/10 Physical & Autonomic Symptoms: 7.1/10 Cognitive & Dissociative Symptoms: 8.1/10 Sensory Symptoms: 8.1/10 Weekly Overview Dosage Timing: Maintained a stable schedule at 11:00 PM, with a minor planned shift to 11:10 PM on Aug 4. Nervous System State: Predominantly Mix/Hybrid or Wave, fully transitioning into a Wave state by midto-late week. Meds/Supplements: Pancreatin enzymes 325 mg (Aug 2 & Aug 4) and topical antifungal lotion (Aug 5); otherwise medication-free. Tried enzymes, but they did not help, so I am discontinuing them to avoid further disruption. Activity/Interventions: Kept a consistent homebound, lowactivity routine centered on rest and some games. Had one 20-minute outdoor excursion on Aug 7 for a haircut. Daily Log Notes Aug 1: Sudden onset of right-ear hearing loss while gaming. Aug 3: New onset of post-meal nausea/vomiting urge; experienced a mini panic attack. Aug 4: Evening overstimulation triggered a panic attack (9/10); acute back/nerve spasms required analgesic posturing. Aug 5: Severe panic attack (10/10) with feelings of hypoxia and seizure-like physical sensations. Aug 6: Brief, transient moment of cognitive clarity in the morning. Aug 7: Outdoor haircut trip triggered severe depersonalization, a crushing headache, and akathisia-like sensations. It has been about 23 days on the lowFODMAP diet, and I can definitely say it feels somewhat better than a standard dietStill, my suspicions about my gut issues l never go away. It was a rough week, so I plan to keep everything stable heading into next week. As noted above, I tried enzymes for two days and stoppedmoving forward, I’m keeping interventions completely blank. Today was especially wild with the haircut trip. I’ll keep updating here weekly to track my progress over time. If anyone reading this has thoughts on what I could improve, I’d love to hear them. As for this month, I will likely hold my current baseline. I still don't understand why I am reacting every single dayespecially the nightly post-dose reactions involving stimulation, a weird facial sensation, passing out for hours, and then waking up. One major updat , ,, tomorrow I am visiting the doctor after being referred for a slightly elevated T4 level. I’ll see what they say before making any decisions, as thyroid dynamics are new to me. Hoping for the best

Hello all ,was an absolute nightmare of a hospital trip today. Agoraphobia, panic, and sensory overload were 100/10, but I made it back home safely. The endocrinologist confirmed my hormones and thyroid are completely normal the mild T4 elevation and high insulin resistance are just from withdrawalinduced weight gain and immobility, which seems common. The main concern now is my stool test came back abnormal with white blood cells, along with elevated CRP and ESR inflammation markers. My doctor is suggesting a potential endoscopy and colonoscopy next month. I wanted to Has anyone else had abnormal stool markers or high CRP/ESR turn out to just be withdrawal/BIND havoc? Has anyone done an endoscopy or colonoscopy during severe withdrawal? Was it tolerable, or did it trigger a severe flare? again have the freedom to completely DeNy Still holding strong on zero supplements and keeping up with my lowFODMAP diet. Appreciate any insights or shared experiences!

Hello my friend. That sounds rough, but I'm glad you made it through. Whew. You are my hero.

I'm sure that was reassuring to you. I'm glad you got it checked.

Sorry to hear this. To my knowledge, I don't think we've had any members here who've had those things done. Could you search on Surviving Antidepressants about it? AI had this to say: Yes, some people experience significant GI problems during antidepressant withdrawal/BIND, and withdrawal can certainly cause a lot of gastrointestinal “havoc.” However, I would be cautious about assuming that abnormal stool markers or elevated CRP/ESR are just withdrawal. CRP and ESR are nonspecific markers of inflammation, and abnormal stool tests can have many different causes. If these results are significantly or persistently abnormal, it's important to have them evaluated rather than assuming they're caused by withdrawal. That said, if you've had a thorough medical workup that hasn't found another explanation, and the abnormalities fluctuate along with your withdrawal symptoms, it's certainly reasonable to discuss whether withdrawal could be contributing. If you want to share which stool markers were abnormal (for example, fecal calprotectin, lactoferrin, occult blood, etc.) and your CRP/ESR values, that may give people more context to share their experiences.
