I hate the fact you're dealing with so much. How is the taper tracking going?

If your eyes are dry and irritated, here is what Google AI said...just thought I'd share: Top Natural Remedies for Dry Eyes Warm Compresses: Apply a warm, damp washcloth to closed eyes for 10-15 minutes to improve oil flow and soothe irritation. Omega-3 Fatty Acids: Increase consumption of fatty fish (salmon, tuna), chia seeds, and walnuts to improve tear quality and reduce inflammation. Eyelid Hygiene: Clean eyelids with warm water and baby shampoo to remove buildup that causes blockages. Intentional Blinking/Screen Breaks: Follow the 20-20-20 rule: Every 20 minutes, look at something 20 feet away for 20 seconds to counteract decreased blink rates during screen time. Hydration: Drink more fluids to support overall tear production. Environmental Controls: Use a humidifier indoors, particularly in winter, to reduce tear evaporation. Castor Oil: High-quality, preservative-free castor oil eye drops can reduce tear evaporation and lubricate the eye surface. When to See a Doctor If natural methods do not provide relief, or if symptoms persist, it is important to see a professional, as chronic dry eye can cause damage to the ocular surface

Venlafaxine (tapering) - Current dose 17.92 mg

Hello DeNy, i‘m so sorry you struggle with all these symptoms. I really wish you a window with relief, even though it might still take a little time 🫂 Are your eyes getting red from the dry out? Try catinas tips. I personally tried some lubricating eye drops in similar situations for a very short time (i think they are free to buy, but as i‘m no physician i‘s better to ask one first!). I might add that those symptoms seem to occure in tapers, i felt harsh dysregulation of many bodily systems for many days, but i don‘t have experience with Klonopin myself. I wish you strength until it all finally rebalances. Ask a doc if it worsens and freaks you out. All the best for you, sending you some peace 🕊️

off Stimulants (2000-2013)
off Fluoxetine (2010-2013)
off Lamotrigine (2013-2016)
off Quetiapain (2016-2020)

currently Effexor — 33mg — 13 years (from 300mg) — actively tapering | with clinician

Hi DeNy, sorry you're still having the same symptoms. I feel you and hope you get relief soon. As for the eye things that are happening, I found this on the internet: Klonopin affects the nervous system through GABA. When it’s reduced or stopped, the system can swing the other way and become more sensitive and overactive. That can show up in the eyes as: Dryness (reduced tear production or altered blinking) Numb or dull sensation (nerve sensitivity changes) Burning, gritty, or “sandpaper” feeling Light sensitivity or visual discomfort The eyes are packed with tiny nerves, so when the nervous system is off balance, they react. For moisturizing the eye, you could try colloidal silver drops, a drop in each eye will help. I use it all the time when my eyes are irritated.
