5th Zoloft Update - Feeling Fair

July 13, 2026··
taper update
Feeling fair. Slept very badly. Everytime I was going to fall asleep then I got a feeling in my stomach similar to when yo have an unexpected fall or scare that was keeping me up all the time. I was turning all the time trying to find a better position but nothing. Is that normal? Thank you.

Hey @Stefan86 , when was your last dose cut? It sounds like something inside the domain of withdrawal , track to see how it is and if it doesnt go away it may be something to apply further insight into

@Based Psychiatrist I tapered down zoloft from 75 to 25 mg on May 10 th and trazodone from 75 mg to 50 Sr as well. I'm feeling fine, outside of this purely physical anxiety.

Sorry to hear my friend. Maybe its good to hold the current dose until it subsides. Maybe @Catina has some info on anxiety

"purely physical anxiety" — @Stefan86
I know this feeling, and it's so difficult! You made large reductions of two drugs, so it's no wonder you're struggling. I'm sorry. Here is some information we have on anxiety that I hope will help. I find that with anxiety, the more we fight it the worse it gets. Just let it flow. It's excess adrenaline and can't harm you. You're safe. https://taper.community/thread/3613d8b1-99e9-4991-8c0d-ec96ba7534ad https://taper.community/resources/blog/managing-anxiety-during-medication-tapering https://taper.community/thread/cbf196f2-7a92-460e-b78c-419887d02db2 https://taper.community/thread/3c6f1a16-3d21-4077-9ed5-8267209ffca3 https://taper.community/resources/blog/grounding-techniques-for-withdrawal-panic Hang in there, it will get better eventually!

@Catina Thanks a lot. There won't be any additional decrease in dose for the time being. Unfortunately the big drop had to be done because for the second year in a row when the summer started to arrive, suddenly I started feeling like a was drinking 100 coffee together. Last year i went down from 150 to 100, then 100 to 75 in March and in May i had to do it again. I know it's all related because also my digestion is upset, and i have to go often to toilet, so full package :P It's okay but it's so annoying to feel this tension in the knees and the tinnitus... I wish I could cry it out just to relax but with adrenaline crying is impossible :D

I'm glad to hear that. It's terrible what these drugs are capable of, but keep hanging in there as best as you can. Show yourself some extra compassion and gentleness right now. 💝

@Catina yeah but I have to be honest, when it was the time they were a lifesaver. If I could go back the only thing I would do is not going back to them. But done once, I can do it again 💪 and we can support each other. 😊
