taper update
Woke up with terror, still trying to manage that. Pretty disturbing thoughts, but I continue to redirect my thinking. Loose bowels. Got myself showered and fed. Talked to my daughter, listening to Angie Peacock's YouTube, taking it easy, breathing.

Thanks for the update MLew. Redirecting your thinking and distracting are so important. And remind yourself that these thoughts aren't coming from YOU, they're happening as a result of the drug. I'm glad that Angie's videos are helping you. Sending you some positive and healing vibes today. ❤️

Venlafaxine (tapering) - Current dose 17.92 mg
Trazodone - 50 mg
Levothyroxine - 25 mcg

It's good to redirect your thinking. You could use a mantra (mantras are short, intentional phrases you repeat to guide your mind. They don’t erase thoughts—they give you something steadier to focus on, so you’re not pulled around by whatever shows up. Think of them as a mental redirect: simple, repeatable, and strong enough to hold onto in the moment). One you could use when thoughts are disturbing is: "I am steady, even when my thoughts aren’t" Take care, MLew
