Need your advice, 40th Depakote Update.

Prozac happens to actually work today. If it stops working for the third time, I am going to the best doctor in the city for a serious chat, or to a good deprescriber. I need your help finding a good professor or deprescriber. My doctor wants me to take more Prozac, rather than deprescribe (even if very gradually, even perhaps if a few months from now).

I arrived at a conclusion that this particular doctor prefers stuffing with meds.... Which even my therapist said is no good....

Most of them are like that unfortunately.

Venlafaxine (tapering) - Current dose 17.92 mg
Trazodone - 50 mg
Levothyroxine - 25 mcg

Kind of, yes! but the professors of medicine and some others are better than that. They actually understand some of the risks of these meds. Was lucky to meet some that can deprescribe correctly.

There are some decent ones out there, although they're in the minority (in my opinion 😉). If you have found some doctors that are knowledgable and supportive that's great! Hopefully one day every medical provider will receive proper education about the risks of psychiatric drugs and how to safely deprescribe.
